The Sycamores lost in Overtime to ex-OVC and current ASUN member Eastern Kentucky 88-89.

Bummer.

That was the last of the MVC teams in post-season action.

Looking forward to the certain improvement for the 2023-2024 basketball season.

Eastern Kentucky played a second-consecutive overtime game and their third overtime game in the last seven games played.

They are in the Semifinals and will play Southern Utah.

The other Semifinal game pits Radford against Charlotte.

They beat So Utah 108-106 in regulation.Not a lot of defense in this one.

That is not correct. The game went to *double* overtime.

But it was certainly an offensive game. Teams were tied at 85 at the end of regulation.

We played four overtimes in three days, and if a beautiful shot at the buzzer hadn't rattled out against Charlotte we would have added a fifth.

Thanks, 75. You'd think after coming that agonizingly close I'd be bummed out, but over on our board there seems to be universal delight at what our team went down there are did. They battled to the bitter end, we lost our leading scorer early in the final game...and we came back from 22 down to cut it to one in the final minute.

The shot that got it down to one came off a steam into a quick three-pointer from Cooper Robb, in the final game of his career, having transferred from Charlotte.

Our athletic department did a nice job of posting locker room videos of Coach Hamilton talking to the team all week, and it's hard to not feel good about the state of our program. If we can escape without *too* much portal damage, I think we can have a really terrific team next year. With Liberty gone from the ASUN, we could end up being the favorite.

BTW, when we were about to play Indiana State, Coach Hamilton mentioned he'd seen them play (on TV) because he tunes in to watch Murray and Belmont when he can.
