Of the 3 options what's everyone's preference?  I can't read the ML&T online anymore so is this project a go and if so, what's the timetable?

I have lived in Murray for almost my entire life, have been driving since 1985 and would really hate to see that street closed, especially living on the NW side of the county. However, if it were my call, I would close the street to thru traffic by putting a barrier about halfway between Chestnut and Main, in front of Faculty, allowing local access to parking lots/side streets -- with lots of speed bumps and a STRICT 15 mph speed limit -- on the side you enter from but again, ending thru traffic. There is no need to go all the way through there, except or a few minutes saved and that leads to speeding beyond the posted 25 mph.

BTW, I struck a pedestrian in front of Faculty Hall on a rainy night in 1989 or 1990, a young teen from Pembroke on a speech tournament in Murray. She survived with only a blown out ACL, a concussion and dirty drawers (me too, dirty drawers that is after watching her fly over the T-tops of my car). It's just like having a city street through the middle of a college campus, at the peril of pedestrians, because that is exactly what it is lmao!

Wonder how many of those houses have connections with City Council members.  I can point to at least four.  You could block off 16th between Olive and Calloway.  That effectively kills all through traffic while maintaining access to all the parking lots.

I was hit crossing 16th just out of what is now Alexander hall. All bruises, I`m apprently good at getting hit by cars. Also got hit crossing Chestnut in the crosswalk by the tennis courts, that one got me a sprained elbow and knee. Hit on my bike in front of the nursing building, rear ended and went flying into the back of a mustang. I mean IN the back too. I don`t remember too much of that one tho. I did so much damage to to both cars the cop who talked to me at the hospital thought i was on a motorcycle. Concussion and a LOT of bruises, got knocked out immedatly and was limp when I flew into the mustang. Lastly I was hit crossing 15th. Every time it was a Korean girl that hit me, always thought that was odd, till I found out they have different laws regurading pedestrians and crosswalks.

That post sounds like BS too bro. ROFLMAO at getting hit like 4X by a Korean chick. Hope you at least got some kimchi out of the deal!

Wasn`t the same one, there were a lot of Koreans on campus in the mid- late 90`s and that is over a 3 year period.
My mom is a bit of a hoarder, she might still have copies of the incident reports..

No man, I believe you 100% and I got that it was different Korean chicks. I just wonder what the freaking odds of that happening in Murray, KY are? Insurmountable I'd say. Hope you play the lottery man haha.
