That's a good point, especially under the circumstances.   Belmont is already close to eliminated from the OVC regular season title being more or less 3 games behind JSU with the tiebreaker.  On the other hand, if Belmont loses Thursday that probably pushes them into playing on Thursday night in Evansville.

I wouldn't say Belmont can be counted out yet and if they lose tomorrow they are still going to be a top 4 seed.  The schedule gets significantly easier for them after Thursday night.  They are better than eastern Illinois

That philosophy has not worked well for him in March the last three years

by What standards could Belmont be "not that great?"  They defeated wku, lipscomb twice, UCLA, and are 9-2 I believe

I believe we had to beat Auburn to stand a chance at an at large.  It will help us to beat Belmont and then see UCLA get it together.  This team at no point prior to NCAA tourney will have anything that resembles what the 2012 team did non-conference wise.  Beat saint Mary's (#7 seed in ncaas), Memphis (#8seed ncaas, and southern miss (#9 seed ncaas).  They also destroyed a decent Atlantic 10 team.  I would say the 2015 team's wins over the hillfloppers, Illinois state, and Evansville tops this team's best win.  The 2015 team did have two bad losses where this team has zero but better win the OVC tournament
