I've never watched through ovc tv before but since it was free for the tournament i thought i would watch.  It is terrible.  Is there no sound?  And why is the camera at a wide angle and not moving?  Pretty pathetic if you ask me.    Looks like the place is empty.  bet theres not 500 fans.

Mark Gottfried just gave the Racers huge props.  Even showed highlights of games.  They experts agreed they will be be dangerous if we make the NCAA.   nice to see Mark support his old school.

What are your goals and expectations for next season as a fan?

I think we will have an improved conference next season.  I also think our SOS will be better.  Hardly any way it couldnt.  
Of course one goal is to repeat as conference champions.  I also think it is a realistic goal to build a tourney resume worthy of an at large bid.  

Im sure the players are hungry for more.  They got a small taste of the tourney and what it feels like to win in the dance.  Im sure they want more tourney wins......   November cant come soon enough.

For some reason I dont like the quote that the players think they should have went to Kentucky or Louisville."   I hope they are pretty satisfied right where they are.

Lets talk about the game.   I read an excerpt on the vandy site that had an interview with coach stallings.  Too bad you have to be a member to read the whole thing.  In the interview it said it had his thoughts on the Racers and how they play against a zone defense.   Do you guys think Vandy will play primarily zone against us.   I know some of their fans the other night in the chat said they played primarily man but would switch to zone on occasion.  Im wondering what BK is planning on.  Are we watching tapes of the Vandy zone or are we working on our man offense that we havent used in quite some time.

Both Morehead and EKU will host games in the CBI.  The field of teams looks like some pretty good competition.   An EKU head final would look good for the conference.

My observations from the tournment:    I would honestly rather have the tourneyplayed in municipal.  IT is better suited for basketball in my opinion.  Bridgestone is a hockey arena and is too big to host the ovc tournament.  I thought the games at municipal were much more enjoyable not to mention the racers record in municipal.  I thought the lackluster performance by the racers boil down to nerves and tight rims.  I was amazed at how far the rebound would bounce after it hit the rim.  No shot in both games last night went in off a bounce off the rim, including most layups.  Looks like there would be some kind of guage to the amount of spring in the rim.  In the second game faried had a massive dunk in the first half it didnt look like the rim budged at all.   Allthough I liked the way the racers where trying to break the zone and the baseline screens and all.  I havent seen the racers do this all season.  Why change now during the tournament?  I also thought Long deserved some playing time.  He has done extremely well for us the 2nd half of the season and is the best defender on the floor when he is in the game.    Also I didnt read the boxscore but as I remember Canaan only took 2 shots one three he hit then 1 airball at the end of the shot clock Also I remember  him leaving the game with about 10 to go with his 3rd foul.  Did he ever return?

If this game, and this result, had been midseason noone would have been quite so disappointed.  It's a shame to lose the streak, and maybe a few votes along the way, but the Tourney is just around the corner.  No time for head down business.  Head saw our best early in the season (+30), we saw their bast last night (-5).  Looking at those numbers.  I believe the Racers won't lose any confidence in this loss and expect a solid performance against EKU on Sat.  They'll need it!

This blogger has been making a 96 team bracket as well as a 65 team bracket the last few weeks.   His 96 team projections have us as a 17 seed playing 16 seed Washington.  The winner would then play #1 Kansas in the 2nd round.      On the Feb. 19th 96 team projection we were a 16 seed playing 17 seed Notre Dame and the winner playing #1 Kentucky.    

Its fun cheking these out and contemplating what if??   Should the NCAA go to the 96 team Tourney?
