Cannan also made the Rockets opening day roster.  He played 12 min in the final preseason game and ended with 5 points 0 assist 1 rebound and 4 turnovers.

Got his first minutes tonight.  Played 7 min. 0-1 from floor with 2 assist and 1 rebound.  Covington also played scored 4pts in 12 min.

Did anyone watch this game and notice when they interviewed coach after the game they said he has the 2nd most wins in the ncaa for a first year coach behind Haith.   I'm glad they got the win and I hope they make the tourney but what does Espn think about Prohm  with this idiocracy.

First off I just wanted to say how happy I am Belmont is joining the OVC, it should definetly have an immediate impact on our conference RPI.  I do have a couple questions about Belmont and this season.

was watching a college basketball show today and they were talking about the at-large possibilities or Belmont.  They seemed to think they were on the bubble.  This caught me by surprise I couldnt believe with 7 losses they would even be in the conversation. So i did some research.  Their SOS is almost 100 spots better than ours, although I dont see how.  Doesnt really look that much tougher theyve only played 2 ranked teams  Memphis and Duke, and they have 7 losses.  Pomeroy has them ranked 29 while we are 59.  WTF?  BPI has them ranked ahead of us as well.  YOud think their losses to miami ohio and lipscomb alone would drop them below us.   What is keeping Belmont on the radar?

First of all congratulations to Morehead.  I really think the top of the league is much better than the RPI indicates this year.  The MVC is ranked around 15 spots better than the OVC.   I didnt see that on the court this year.    

I know the OVC gets a big payday with the head win.  Not sure how much it actually is but I vote that the most beneficial use of the money would be to buy out the ridiculous contract the league just signed with the minucipal Auditorium.  If we want the OVC to be a first rate conference we have to look like one on Nation TV.
