My thoughts after 1st half.    Took a while to get going.  Going to see a lot of different lineups to see who works best together.   Game seemed to pick up a little late when Morgan and Murray came back in the game.    I really like both Perry and Anderson.   Wood and White Jr are solid but I think our freshman have a higher ceiling.   Once we get some experience we will have a good team.   Also we need to pick up the defense.  

On a side note I miss Neal.  Nothing against Bidwell  but I'd much rather listen to Neal.

Anyone that's in Indy.  I need 3 tickets are scalpers selling at arena?  Would I be okay to wait til I got there to buy them?

A win tonight would secure the number 1 seed in Evansville.   We have something big to play for, let's put on a show!! Go Racers.

Since 75 hasn't been able to get together our normal game threads as of late I'll start this one.   If possible I'd love to see a breakdown of this game 75.

This will be a tough one but I'm grateful we are seeing Morehead at home 1st instead of on the road.   Stamina is my biggest concern in this game.  Hopefully coach has the team recovered and ready to play 2 complete halves.    Glad to have Skipper-brown back.  His defense will be vital in defending Broome.  

Some positives to note Morehead had not looked great on the road the last few games.    Won by 3 at SIUE and last night pulled out a 1pt win in OT in Cape.  They looked gassed last night and really struggled at the foul line.    Looking forward to see how well we match up with them and how many turnovers we can produce.  Morehead has done a fantastic job this season of not turning the ball over but I don't think they have faced a defense in the OVC as good as ours can be.   Hope we bring it Saturday afternoon.   Expecting a double digit win, but will take any win we can get.   Go Racers

Reading their message board they have 4 returning starters from an NCAA tourney team.  They also mentioned a transfer that would be eligible.  A tough opponent to start the season.  

If anyone is interested they are on ESPN + tonight against Western Carolina.  Western Carolina just made their 1st field goal with 12 and a half minutes left in 1st half.

Would love to finish in the top 25.  If we can't bring home the trophy at least win a few to get ranked.

Sorry if someone has already posted.  From about a month ago.

Opened their season yesterday with a 75-95 loss at SIUE.   Would love to see us keep them below 65pts Friday night. Should be a good measuring stick for our defense.

I know its been discussed before, but I was at an event at the show-me-center the other night and they had beer and mixed drink sales.   Could this be a revenue stream Murray is missing out on?

Seeding will be crazy for this tournament.  We win next 2 we are division champs.  We lose next 2 there is a scenario we don't make the tournament.  Peay would hold a tiebreaker on us by beating EIU twice.

I agree. TSU is a good team. Hope he keeps mixing up the defense and changing the lineup.   If nothing more than to send a statement or keep the other team guessing.   Only complaint is i with Grace and Taylor had got a few more minutes also I would have let Thomas play the final 2 minutes of 1st half after Brion got his 2nd.  He had played the entire half and was fouling while trying to defend because of fatigue.  

Also miller has to start jumping for rebounds and grabbing the ball with both hands instead of tipping it.  He is the biggest man on the floor played 27 minutes and had 3 rebounds.  Don't see how that happens.

Interesting article.   I guess the timeout called by the coach vs Illinois St should not have been allowed.  Also the block by dupree should have also not been a foul according to thus if a defender jumps inside the arc with hands straight up any contact should be a no call.  Hopefully our players and coaches know this and Matt makes site the refs are aware of this rule change.

I know its the first day ,but the OVC looks fairly strong out of the gate.  We beat Illinois state, EKU beat IUPUI, surprisingly Jacksonville St took out Tulsa, and SIUE knocked off Hawaii.  All of that plus wins from EIU Morehead and Tn St.   Even Semo didn't lose by 20 to Illinois.  Also future Racer opponent Ole Miss had all they wanted with Martin.  Martin ended up losing by 3.  Overall nice showing by the OVC.

What is everyone's thoughts on new intro video?   I thought the music was kind of depressing not very upbeat. Liked the voice over radio calls though.  They need to add be music to it make it exciting like the welcome to the jungle video a few seasons ago.

The good thing is we will not see any team we have not already beaten until the finals.  Hopefully our guys are pumped and ready to perform.

I see we are back in the others receiving votes in the AP poll.  We are the only team reviving votes in both polls to not be in the ncaa tournament.

A lot of debate has been going on on who should receive the automatic bid.  What are your thoughts? I know the tournament is a money maker and is here to stay but sometimes one bid leagues do not send their best representative.  

The way the OVC tournament is now the 1 and 2 seeds both recieve double byes.  No real advantage for the conference champion.  My solution is make the conference tournament double elimination for the champion.  This way a team that does not win the regular season title has to beat the champion twice to recieve the automatic bid.  This I feel rewards the regular season champion and still leaves a path to the tourney for a team that may have struggled a little in the regular season.
