We had some guards rebounding tonight. They really turned them over tonight, also. The effort was there.

Going to need those guards rebounding tomorrow.  We've been out-rebounded by Drake by 27 this year.    Going to be a tough one.   Last time at Murray Racers only turned the ball over 3 times and still got trounced by 20+ from Drake.     We have to contain DeVries and hope the Drake team that had to have 2 OTs to beat Valpo shows up.

I love to see all those Racers at the top of the player ratings 75. Can you arrange for that to happen tomorrow? Good start to the weekend. Hopefully we can keep it going. Our guys know what to expect tomorrow. Hopefully they learned that they have to keep the peddle to the metal for 40 minutes against Drake. I just want to see 2 competitive halves where we hustle on every play and make smart decisions. No scoring droughts, no lackadaisical defense, no selfishness on offense.

For those who keep bringing up "Myrtle Beach" your wish was granted. Haven't seen that team in a very long time. If "they" show up again tomorrow it could get interesting.

I bring up Myrtle Beach because there are several games recently I'd like to forget. Just trying to remember the positives, not the negatives. But, you're right. That was months ago. I like what I saw tonight. But, it is easier to beat a team when it goes 2-23 from deep. I doubt we can count on Drake shooting that poorly. But, I don't think Drake is 20 points better than us if we play up to our capabilities. I think we can give them a good game. Especially if Jamari can play as well tomorrow as he did today. I think he's one of the reasons we fell off a cliff after Myrtle Beach.

Murray looked so full of energy and if that pass had not been bobbled, he would be on ESPN's Top-10 for a Monster Dunk!

It took a bit for CSP to learn that Anderson could ball enough for some PT.

It took a bit longer for him to learn that Moore could ball enough for some PT.

Maybe he'll learn that Murray can ball too.  He can certainly alter some shots and rebound.  I think if he got more than 1-3 minutes of PT, his shots will have less adrenaline behind them.  I see greatness in that young man's athleticism.

Stack and Edwards played hard too.

Nice effort today.

Just need to do it 3 more times!

I would love another miracle story in the storied history of this program and winning the MVC Tournament would make me quickly forget the 3 20-plus-point beat-downs we suffered this year.

It was nice to see defensive rotations that featured helpside D that got there in time - it's been quite a while since we've seen that on a consistent basis.  Valpo did their part to help us by missing a lot of open shots, but our defense didn't give them as many open looks as before.  Nice effort - that looked more like Racer basketball!  I just hope our refusal to go beyond 7 players doesn't come back to bite us today - I really thought Morgan and Murray should have been worked into the mix early in the 2nd half for a few minutes each as we started to pull away.  Jacobi played 36 minutes yesterday - way too many minutes in a game that was over with 8 minutes to go.  At least our bigs both played less than 25 minutes.  I'll be happy with the same kind of effort today regardless of the outcome.

RunRacers

Yeah, the amount of effort that was put out on defense last night for jumping into passing lanes, rebounding, and getting after loose balls was at another level then what we have seen for the majority of the year.

I would love to see the racers perform well tonight against drake.   Can they keep up the effort as the other team pushes back...   (Play sound effects of horses running).

75, Could you ask the basketball gods for another game like last night.   Build the lead to around 12-15. Then continuing to add on and win going away.     Again I'd take anything within 5 points either way, but it would really make me feel better about this season to win.

As a change of pace, I'd like to see 4 consecutive games where we jump out to an early 12-point lead and then slowly build the lead throughout the game to a 20-plus-point victory!
