Re: Evansville's Old Chicago...
Covid casualty, think it got most of the chain. A few independent franchises are left, including one in Vincennes, IN about 50 miles north of Evansville.
IMO, the best pizza in Evansville is the double-decker ones at the Deerhead Tavern. A lot of out of towners gravitate towards Turoni's. It certainly isn't a bad option, and they do brew their own beers. If you go that route, I would suggest the original location on Main Street. Whatever reason, the other locations just seem to be off a little, especially the one in Newburgh.

What's the name of the place that went in next to where OC was in the old Logan's building?

They're actually pretty good. Probably going there tonight, they have a nice pizza deal on Tuesdays.
I am a local guy most of the time as well, but there are some chains that have their place. Drake's, Bar Louie, Rafferty's etc are always solid. I am disappointed IHOP is moving into the old OC location. I was hoping for a Portillo's or Giordanos. They are inching this way.
