Hey i'm just speculating, but what else could it be? He was medically cleared and coach had no problems with him before he got hurt so that doesn't leave us with many options on what it could be.

First he might have been medically cleared, but still unable to go. He might not have been medically cleared at all.

The problem is with speculation. If Chad decided to leave, which I have no direct info to confirm, I wish him the best. If he decides to stay, he is of course welcome and I look forward to watching him develop.

I doubt you "offended" anybody who posts on this board. That's not the point really.

My whole thing is why dress out if you're not medically cleared, or if there was a decision prior to the game that he was not going to play. The only explanation I can think of is a transfer/coaches decision.

Lets look at it differently. If a kid says he is good to go, but the doctors say that he could play but there is risk, the kid might dress out, but the coach might not let him play. In that instance, the kid isn't soft at all. in fact, he is trying to gut out something and a coach isn't willing to allow him to hurt himself more.

And Im not offended. Just don't like to see our fans speak ill of our players on a personal level.

I'm a tad bit OCD. I fully expect him back and playing big minutes next year. But, every time I read this thread I feel like I'm watching Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura. I can't stop wondering why he wasn't playing at the end of the year. Plus, I still don't understand why he went 4 or 5 games in a row in the middle of the year where he got almost no playing time(not counting the games he missed with a concussion). I don't like mysteries! LOL

I'm not a big fan of mysteries, secrets, or "are you hearing what I'm hearing" posts that can't say because they were told not to. The latter happen, I know from experience, but I generally just don't say a damn thing lol. Anyway, good post popeyejonesfan, I tend to agree!

Sometimes you can pick up some subtle hints by looking at a kid's twitter account--his profile, who he's following recently, etc.

Nice notice there, kinda confirms that he's gone.

Now as the question of, Why?

i'm still sticking to my theory.

What's AJ Patty's Twitter looking like? I don't follow him and I've noticed he suddenly has protected his account. Seems odd.

If Chad is leaving, I'm still so confused. He had one other scholarship offer besides the one he got from the Racers? Right? I'm not counting that Memphis wanted him to walk on. I wanted him to get more minutes this year. But, I felt like he'd get good minutes next year. Is he not happy with CMM not playing him? Or, is CMM telling him he's not going to play much so he should go elsewhere?

I'm beginning to worry about what several posters have talked about before. We either get players that have talent and leave after one year. Or, we get close to bringing in a good player, and lose him at the last minute. With all the success the Racers have had the last few years, it just seems like we have way too many players transferring.

Not counting my chickens, but if Coach Mac signs the kid that visited a couple of days ago, that will be a HUGE upgrade at that position.

While i agree we have trouble keeping players lately, why do you instantly assume it's something wrong with the coach or his decisions? Why did you not ask once about "Was coach not happy with Chad's attitude and told him to go elsewhere?"

I still fully believe that it was a mental toughness/attitude problem with chad. Coach had no problems playing him once he realized he was ready, hell he even started him, so why all of a sudden not play him after being cleared? It's not like he just decided that he hates Chad so he won't play him.

In the past we've lost players because of playing time but quite a few of them were attitude problems/thinking they were stars. McCree left because he didn't like Zay i believe someone said on here, and most recently McCloud went back home because he didn't want to practice.

It's not just the coach's fault, sometimes it is the players.

The guy is 19 years old. So he pouts a little over playing time. I wouldn't want a player who doesn't think he deserves more playing time. He will mature. The thing to consider if he is leaving is that he has a skill set that is hard to duplicate. When he entered a game he had the speed and quickness to change the game. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But I would take it over a guard that thinks the way to run the offense is to dribble the ball down the court, and set up in a half court, instead of running the ball and passing ahead to the open man.
