Justice Green Gone?
I just saw a tweet where Justice Green said he is no longer coming to Murray State. I was never really sure, which one was going to be ineligible, but I guess that was Green?
Does Pope stay if Green isn't coming?

Re: Justice Green Gone?
I think we may end up seeing Green eventually, IF he progresses as a JUCO enough to come back in two years. Question about Pope is, did he do well enough to be partial qualifier, not eligible to play but eligible to practice with the team?

Re: Justice Green Gone?
Anything is possible. I get the feeling that Pope was kinda the target and taking both made it easier. I don't think we were surprised when Justice didn't qualify and actually expected it from day 1. I don't know for sure, but I believe they were banking on Pope making it.NKYRacer wrote:I think we may end up seeing Green eventually, IF he progresses as a JUCO enough to come back in two years.

Re: Justice Green Gone?
Exactly. There's a post guy we won't have to recruit next year, waiting in the wings, a year older and wiser and fully adjusted to college life. The redshirt that's gotta give Cowboyracer a warm and fuzzy feeling all over.

OK. I'm lost on the math here. I'm hearing we already filled Green and Pope slots with others and I thought we still had one more to fill. Is the magic # still 1 and are we still looking for another transfer?

Re: Justice Green Gone?
The Tulane transfer Jonathan Stark was the last for this season.
So this years haul
Pope (redshirt walk-on)
Damarcus Croaker (Transfer from Texas eligible ?)
Bryce Jones (JUCO)
A.J. Patty (JUCO)
Charles Brown III
Brion Sanchious
Chad Culbreath
Jonathan Stark (Transfer from Tulane eligible 2016)
That is 7
Moss, Gilmore, Langston, Seymour, Gee McGhee (now eligible), and Flomo make 13 scholarship players
Now, who isn't PUMPED about next season and beyond!

Re: Justice Green Gone?
Look how much different we are compared to season before this past one. Jeff and Terron are it, with Seymour sitting out that year. If this group does what I think over the next 2 years and beyond, it will be an awesome continuity of greatness by this staff.

Re: Justice Green Gone?
Isaiah was special in a different sort of way. He knew he could shoot. More important, he knew that sometimes, his shot would not drop -- and turned his "shoot" impulse off and concentrated on his (I think) awesome "D" to keep his spot on the team and in our hearts. It took Cam five games to get over his "look at CSP" on every trip downcourt -- before he learned that if COACH had something important to say, he'd call for a TO -- but until then, it was Cam's team.
I just wonder how long it will take our next PG to discover that he is the man. That is how long it will be before Racer dominance again becomes apparent.
Some things don't change. Murray point guards are as constant as the weather. It is Memorial Day and like every MD in memory, it is raining. Murray will have a floor general par excellence by Nov 1, 2015. just like always.

Has Pope signed anywhere? As of three weeks ago our staff was still working on it.
