last week of the year

Post by fmftballmgr »

MSU
Semo -15 1/2

EKU
JSU -3

TSU
TTU -8 1/2

EIU
APSU -19

UTM
UK -29 1/2

Maybe the only Time APSU will be cheering for the racers if they want the out right title. Even thought they hold the tie breaker over semo the OVC is wanting to recognize they as co-champions

As for us. Semo will have revenge on their mind since last year we cost them a chance at being CO-champs and I don't know what mindset we will be in being the last game and nothing to play for

Does it involve the tight end doing burpees on the field?

Sit ups instead of push ups will really throw us off.

Last game for the coach too, they might throw the tool shed at them, Saturday

Don't wish him ill will. He is actually a nice guy. Maybe Samford will make him an offer that he can't refuse, and a decision will not have to be made either way.

Smidge, how could we keep him tho? $$ only one reason. He is an honorable, good person and not many will challenge that.

No ill will at all, we respect his character and person.

He has had 5 years and we are no better or worse than where we were when he started, which wasn’t a good spot to begin with. All I’m saying is I wouldn’t start throwing the going away party until it’s official. I’d say he gets at least one more year of his two years if I were betting.

Can our athletic department afford a two year buyout plus pay a new coach double what we’re paying Stewart?

If not, we’ll probably need to wait it out.

Can we afford two more years of bad football?

Well, we’ve managed to survive about 15 years so...

How about he does the honorable thing and resign? If not it will just drag out our hopeful recovery

Mahoney was only here what, 3 seasons maybe? We’ve known rough patches but this is ridiculous. We’ve been in a decade and a half FUNK and unless you’re middle aged it’s hard to remember a championship caliber season lol.

I'm still basking in the victory over EIU on a cold ass day. Came down to a long field goal. I think Romo was QB for EIU. When the hell was that? The 90s?

2002, the year I graduated from MSU. Shane Andrus kicked a 52 yarder in the rain as time expired to beat Romo’s EIU team.
