Nice win by the Racers. Going to take some time to jell, but this team may be better than last year's team by the end of the season. The interior scoring is the biggest weakness at this time. It will get better. Showed a great will to win with 4th quarter defense. Fans are going to love watching this team! Will be well worth arriving early enough to cheer them on.

It appears that Macey Turley is the best PG currently living in Murray.

This is a good team. They do not have as much overall talent, as last year, but are getting the most out of it. This is a team that is fun to watch. Watch this program for the next three years. This year is a beginning of a solid program. It will continue to move up from here.

Once she gets a stable full of kids who are willing to be coached she will do well.

Yep, all she needs to do is consistently win 15, 16 games year-in and year-out and she should be able to hold the job for as long as she wants. All we ever wanted was to not see repeated single-digit win seasons; she doesn't have to do what Matt McMahon is expected to do.*
Now I'm sure HER goals are much higher than that, which is great. Bottom line is that MSU could have taken a chance on another young up-and-comer who, if they did win, would move on in a snap. While Coach Turner certainly has that kind of talent in her, I *think* she would stick around for 20 years if she had the opportunity. And it would be refreshing to see that.
* Not being sexist. The football and baseball coaches aren't expected to make the NCAA Tournament every year either.
