Anyone know if we are recruiting Jackson Sivills from McCracken County at all and if not, why? He's already one of the highest ranked in-state player in the class of 2020 and already has been offered by SLU.

No idea if we are or aren’t to be honest I haven’t watched the kid play one minute. I’m told he’s a good player who would likely need to fit into a particular system and nobody would be a better judge of whether or not we could use him than the coaching staff themselves.

I'm guessing coach sivills son, would not be very quick.

I haven't seen this young man play, but if Ford offered him, I wouldn't look past him. I expect that he has some talent, and we know what kind of person he will be. Don't know where his interests are, as he probably doesn't fit our style, but that doesn't mean he won't be a good pickup for someone. If he gets a scholarship to SLU, and likes the school, that is a major program that is on the move. This should be left entirely up to the coaching staff. Glad for him and the Sivills family in that both their youngsters have a chance to get a college education playing the game the family loves.

It sure is nice though when the local kids work out, like Casey B in football. We need some local D1 talent that fits our system but this area isn’t exactly a hotbed of D1 candidates. Maybe he will get an offer before it’s all over, who knows? Kids of coaches usually play a notch above their ability or that’s been my experience.

Heard good things about him at elite camp games. Heard he’s strong and can stroke the 3.

If he's not even a junior yet and he's blowing up in the summer camps then it was probably a good idea to go ahead and offer him. He sounds like the kind of stretch 4 that Belmont has been successful with lately.

How cool would it be for our teams to get both of the state’ Mr and Miss Basketball winners?
