We were absolutely punked tonight. Punked. One of the worst efforts I have ever seen from a Racer team in February, at home. Ever. By a team that won’t even finish .500. Disgraceful.

Have we abandoned the substitution pattern that has worked so well the past few games?

Where is Sivills?

Didn't ever know we had a pattern, on the bench.

Last few games I thought CMM had done a great job with Gilmore, Nick, and Sivills. And even limiting Juice's minutes. And tonight we have just abandoned that. I know that Nick is foul prone and that may be part of that.

Along the lines of the Kirby thread also on here I don't understand CMM's non confidence in Bostick. The offense has seemed to run much smoother with him on the floor and like tonight we have gone with Juice who plays out of control still imho.

But the fact is our offense has just plain sucked tonight. Nothing else you can really say.

True... but Juice throwing alley oops to no one and taking 3's early in the shot clock wasn't much better and it seems like CMM turns a blind eye towards it.

Hell at this point I'd be ok with giving Rod a try. Something has to work.

As a Panther fan I am completely shocked. I wasn't aware that Wallace, Smith, and Dixon were back from injury which has been our biggest issue this season, but I'm still stunned. I thought Murray State was starting to finally figure things out, but maybe not.

We force a team in to 18 turnovers with a +6 in that stat and lose by nearly double digits...

This loss, I hate to come to this realization, but was significant. Not because of the effect of this loss on this lost season, but for what we have built here as a team. This was not an empty cupboard coming in to this season. We are middle of the road and this is not the standard here.

He would have left by now. KJ tends to pout when coach gets on him at all. I can’t imagine that he’d take too well to Cronin screaming obscenities at his belly button.

Ok. Let’s go back to the 27 point lead we blew at EIU last season. 13 point lead we blew there this season. And, we get blown out on the boards and trail by as many as 12 tonight. I know our guys are worn out. But, it seems like we just don’t want to beat this team.

Let’s look at something positive from tonight...

At least we didn’t blow a 25 point or a 15 point lead tonight in the second half.

Seriously though there’s so many fundamental things that this team just has not seemed to grasp that it’s mind boggling. As someone stated, the past 3 games we were incredibly hot from 3. When that was taken out tonight we had no clue had to run an offense. Credit to EIU though because they did their homework and I noticed tonight they took away the play we have grown to love where Tevin usually zips in a baseline pass inside the paint from the corner to KJ. When that play failed we went to playground ball.

I would love to sit in on a practice and see how they play in practice. I cannot for the life of me see CMM being a strict guy and I am a firm believer in you play like you practice. So maybe since we had won 4 straight we went back to being clumsy in practice and it carried over to tonight? Who knows... no way this team should be in the position we are though.
