Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
Win number 120 for Matt good enough for 3rd on the all time wins list I believe I heard, trailing only the great Carlisle Cutchen and Cal Luther.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
No posting from most (including myself) may be due to a 5 start time and having to drive home on an ice skating rink. From what I heard on the radio though if that team shows up for the remainder of the season we might just be ok.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
The guys looked really good tonight. Felt like RACER Basketball winning by 20. Now is the time to put a nice string of wins together.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
Really solid defense last night. Tevin looked fresher, too as he isn't having to carry the expected load on offense. When that is the case the whole team plays better as a unit. Maybe they have found something they can build on.
Wow, SEMO has someone in Nolan "Tractor" Taylor, there. Dude is smooth. Demond was no match for him. If he could get in better shape, he could be a terror for anyone. Too bad he is a senior.
Speaking of Demond, he just has to get better positioning on the rebounds. He just won't be a factor until he does. He looks slow and always behind the other defenders on the offensive rebounds. At least he isn't fouling as much as he did last year, but that is also affecting his ability to be a better player. I just think he needs some special tutoring from someone (ahem...calling Popeye Jones) to get to the next level.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
Yes, Taylor is a nice post player and will most likely play again next season as seniors get an extra year that doesn’t count against the scholarship limit.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
Man the Racers looked like Racers last night. The ball movement was nice, Chico is playing on a whole nother level right now, and our defense is fantastic.
Good win guys!
Only complaint is our bigs catching the ball down low and taking a dribble instead of going straight up with it.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
Chico is on his way to becoming one of the better offensive threats in the OVC - for a perimeter player to be hitting over half their shots overall AND half their 3's this deep into the season is a lot more than someone being on a hot streak - he's a premier shooter. Loved the passing between the bigs a couple times last night - we have the front line talent to be doing a lot more of that IMO. Gilmore is one of the more efficient offensive players we've had. Rarely takes a bad shot, strong on the offensive boards and usually finds the open man if nothing is there for him in the post. He plays within his limitations extremely well, and I think that's something that often gets overlooked. We need to get on a roll here before the JSU game - I'd love to send them packing from the OVC with the same going away present we gave EKU.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
Nice win! I like the lineup and Chico is playing well.
One very unfortunate last night though. Mrs. Asbridge fell in section 102 right before the lineup announcement, and took a hard spill. Looked like at least a broken arm, hopefully not worse. She and the late Ed Asbridge are longtime supporters. Worked for Mr. Ed at the old Krogers, when I was attending MSU in the 80's. Hope she heals fully and quickly.

I worked for Ed Asbridge too, he was the best! Our local Kroger sure could use him today but I digress. Prayers for Mrs. Asbridge.

Re: RACERS vs. SEMO
I asked the asst AD about her last night. He was told she is doing very well, no other injury, but did break her upper arm. Supposed to have surgical repairs this week. Saw Coach and other staff members come over to her family members prior to tipoff and ask about her; very nice.
