Agreed Racernut. I love Murray State Basketball and will support them and watch every game I possibly can every season no matter the quality of the team. We are blessed to not endure season's like this very often, but man this group is hard to get excited about right now. I will still watch them and cheer them on every last game, but I am also very happy that my Blues start their season tonight so I have something else in sports to get excited about.

I’m having trouble keeping up with with who’s playing and who isn’t. I guess we don’t know for sure until a couple hours before any given game this year. This is a mess - SIUE has played one conference game so far?

Well, the freshmen really haven’t had a chance. I’m still hoping we have some good ones. Just wondering when we are going to see them get meaningful minutes.

We have at least two freshmen that can play. I don't know what happened to Sivills, but he started one game, got significant minutes, and played well, without catching the Racer turnover disease, and hasn't been seen since. We have a forward from Georgia, JaQueze Kirby, who is a little thin, but has the ability to develop. Who plays? The same guys that have thrown the ball away, been lax on defense, or slow the tempo of the game. If someone transfers because they are not getting playing time, it would be better that it be those who have proven that they can't produce, than those who never got the chance. Not calling for a lot of time, but two or three minutes a game, for at least one or two, on a team that is drowning in turnovers is not unreasonable.

Sivills had at least 2 turnovers that I saw; opposing player came up on him and took the ball right away from him. His defense wasn't any better than Brion's, either.

Jack had 0 turnovers in his start against Head. He does have 3 total for season though. One thing I can assure you of, Jack can actually shoot the 3 at a decent clip, something we are sorely missing. We are a few shots away from a different record.

That does not seem right; I watched him get pick-pocketed twice. Defender came up from behind both times while he was coming down the floor, and took it from him.

Your statement why I think the team still has a chance imo. Just need a few shots to fall.

A few more shots to fall and far less turnovers to provide attempts for the shots to fall. Being outshot the past few games proves that we aren’t able to get the ball in to the hands of shot makers due to turnovers.

I did not see Sivills get picked either. Maybe in the transy game he did but not the game he started. Kinda baffled myself with the praise coach gave him about his effort in practice and earning his time and then going back to being a spectator.
