Im thinking sadly he did as he was always so much a presense on this board. He and I had a lot of dialog off site about our time at Murray though we never met. He had a big crush on a girl from my hometown who I was friends with. He still thought of her 50 years later.
Genuine good guy. Im sorry he has been missing the past few years as he surely deserved to be part of and enjoy the success we have had.

He’s living in Rexburg, ID according to an online search. Had Tom died his sister and family would have printed an obituary. It’s possible he’s incapacitated I suppose, but it looks like he remarried.

Gee I hope your right Smidge. The last time I heard from him, maybe 3 years ago, he was in TN not too far from Murray and not in good health.

I talked to him on the phone in 2014 and he seemed to be hanging in there. Remember him talking about moving to the land he owned close to Morehead? I assumed he settled in Louisville to be close to his sister, maybe not. He sure is missed on here and hopefully enjoying our success in private. :salute:

The last time he logged into this board was October 3, 2015. :(

For what it’s worth the couple of bracket projections I have seen have us on the 14 or 15 line. I don’t foresee it being any better than that even if we do win out.

If a team wins out, they could be a 13.

While I would obviously be happy to be dancing, I am tired of settling for 12 and 13 seeds. We should expect more for ourselves. We cannot improve our conference situation soon enough.

This concludes my annual post about my passion to leave the OVC. I know I’m preaching to the choir, for the most part. I just have to air it out sometimes!

I deleted all PMs a few years back but he had relocated to Louisville for a little bit with the intention to get back to Wyoming/Idaho. I believe he was still using the board from a library. His computer was hacked or destroyed or whatever and he didn't want a new one. Was in good spirits but was looking forward to not being "online". I don't know anything else but I suspect he's still kicking somewhere!

Question and a discussion just for fun.

Govs and Murray split regular season games, throw in a loss each from someone else in the conference, both schools meet in the OVC Final. Regardless who wins that final game, are both in the NCAA Tourney?
I think it would be hard to keep both of them out should it play out like that
I'd say close to zero chance. No good OOC wins for either. If Peay had beat WVU, Vandy, and WKU they'd probably make it in your scenario.
