Did Daquan re-injure his foot? He was on a scooter at Ja's press conference.

Man I hope Quan is ok. Saw the scooter too. What's the word insiders? Hate it if he has to miss summer training.

I'm not 100% sure so don't throw me under the bus if it's not right but I think I remember hearing at one time that he was going to have surgery once the season was over so that he could still practice with the team. He should be back by July or so if it heals correctly.

On the Neil Bradley show they said just a small procedure and boot comes off in like a weak. Was a surgery to help in the healing process. As said on Neil's Radio Show

I loved watching Daquan on the bench last year. Mainly because his reaction watching Ja Morant make plays was always a hair quicker than the rest of us. His reactions tell me that the time on the bench watching Ja do his thing this year was not wasted on Daquan.

Take a look at this YouTube video of the Marquette game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgQ2eRIpeQA). Pay particular attention to times 1:54, 2:04, 2:16, and 2:57. Notice how Daquan is leaping when he knows the play is about to be successful as it is unfolding right before his eyes. That is all a part his "court vision" developing that Ja also developed during the course of his freshman season in 2017-2018.

Now it may seem preposterous (and maybe a little tongue in cheek) that I am making this assumption based on bench highlights, but I think we are going to be more than pleasantly surprised about the maturity and development of Daquan Smith this year.
