I was going to respond to the questions about Kane but it looks like everyone else has it covered LOL. Bottom line is that players make coaches much more often than the other way around. Ja was a pro before he stepped on the court at Murray. And who do you think helped develop players in the time Kane was here? Do you really want to play an OVC team coached by Kane in the future?

We have a lot of bigs, but none of them were effective against Belmont's freshman, or Florida State's inside game.
Smith didn’t play, Williamson was only a freshman. Gilmore was only a freshman with not many minutes until the last month of the season. A lot of folks would look bad against the FSU bigs.

3 years ago I was telling Racer Nation the world wasn’t coming to an end. We had 2 bad years. But, we had Morant, Brown and Shaq coming in. I hope everyone has stepped away from the ledge by now. Future’s so bright, we gotta wear shades.

I'm sure we'll be OK, but things will certainly change if CMM heads out. I just want certainty. I guess we'll find out soon enough about whether or not he stays or goes. Fingers crossed on the staying.

I was worried too, now I'm worrying if we have to have a new coach ,will our new AD hire someone, hint, that deserves a chance to coach here, he has done so much for our basketball program in the last several years.

If I could bet the farm on exactly that, I’d toss the deed right out in the kitty.

Might end up in Aimes. Isn’t going to end up in Murray.

A couple mentions on here about Gilmore being a freshman... he's not, he's a sophomore. Honestly, I thought he was not going to be back next year until his sudden emergence. Reminds me a lot of Ed Daniel. I hope he puts in the work this off-season as I think he could be a huge piece next year. Needs to add some muscle, but has a lot of athleticism.

Thanks for the comments on Kane. I agree with those who posted that he would be an ideal candidate if we lose our coach. As far as the big men, I wasn't so worried about Florida State's bigs,, as much as how they performed against Belmont's freshman who seemed to score any time he wanted.
