Coach Wade from Jacksonville St

Would he be received very well if he was hired here as a coach in the future if there was an open spot?

Former Racer Tommy Wade is probably right where he needs to be, he was a couple years ahead of me in HS and if I'm not mistaken he's a few years older than Ray. We usually go younger.

I'm 59 so you can do the math.

I rem when he was on the team. Few years I think. MSU is sticking with the coaching tree. It has worked like majic

I like Coach Wade. He has a great knowledge of basketball. Having said that, there is a reason he has never been a head coach. Probably has more to do with him doing what he is comfortable with than anything else. Running a basketball program at this level takes a lot of responsibility, and sometimes it can be a thankless task. I imagine he will go with Harper when he leaves in a few weeks. Besides, we have a coach, and I wouldn't trade him for any other in the business.

I think the OP's point was would he be welcomed back as an assistant? I say no.

My Hopkinsville friends say he helped get one of the schools over there in trouble for recruiting when he was still in the KHSAA. He was on staff with Harper when they got in trouble at KWC. Ray Harper and that bunch just have a stink of arrogance and not doing things the right way. There's a reason we have stayed away.

You have a point as I found out he was also let go from South Alabama and was put on a show cause suspension for 5 years. That is why he had to go to a non d-1 school
