That's one seed better than the MVC rep, Loyola coming in as a 13 seed vs Oklahoma. Interesting and weird quite frankly

If we run the table, I will be pissed if we don't get at least a nine seed.

I feel what you’re saying but an 8 or 9 are as bad as a 15 or 16 as far as making the SS.

The 8/9 winner has to play the 1/16 winner. The highest I think we'll get (IF we get there) is a 12, and I'm good with that. You play the 5 and if you win you play the 4/13 winner. They're all realistically winable games. (unless you play an underseeded West Virginia)

If we win out, I'd hope for at least an 11 seed. The 2010 team was a 13 seed with losses to WKU, LA Tech, Cal and Head.

If they can't make sweet sixteen with the arsenal now as a 12/13-seed, then it ain't never gonna happen...

I think it’s too early to discuss seeding. Right now, I’d take any seed, as that comes after the bid. I still have too many memories of teams that were good enough to compete, but were upset in early March.

Teams with Sleets, Green and Hood; Marcus Brown and Jones; Brown and Rainey; Payne, Jarvis and Sapp -just to name a few.

I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer, just scared of karma.

And with the remaining schedule for Jax, we also need a great effort next Thursday to get a 1 seed. I’ll be there for both (the Jax game is closer for me)!

100 fans as rowdy as section 109 would rock JSU!

That's a loud place with 1,000 people in it.

They currently have Belmont in the First Four Out which would mean a #1 seed in the NIT.

Bradley out of the "powerful" MVC is looking at a 15 seed. Amazing how much things can change in one season.

They were the 5 seed in their tournament. Care to guess what Morehead State would have been projected if they had won the OVC Tournament?

I will give you a hint... one went to market, one stayed home, one had roast beef, one had none, and one went weee weeeeee weeeeeee all the way home...

I like our chances in that bracket! Beat Maryland, then beat Kansas and we are in the Sweet 16. Let Virginia lay an egg and we could be in the elite 8...lots of basketball left though!

True, but if us and Belmont had both received offers and joined the MVC this season, Belmont would definitely be dancing. The entire league would have been better and I'd venture a guess in saying our net would be better. We wouldn't have been playing scrubs like Tech and UTM. It is ironic that the MVC didn't have a really good, breakout team this year. However, the MVC is ranked so much higher than the OVC. The entire thing is bizarre.

I am convinced of two things. Coaching and money make a difference. The OVC currently has some good coaches, and the teams that are willing to spend will always be on top, If we move to the MVC, we will have to increase our spending on basketball significantly. We will have to increase for not only more travel costs for all teams, but higher salaries, and budgets for recruiting. All of this in addition to fans not having as easy an access to regular season and tournament games. I would like for us to be in the MVC, but these things also need to be considered.
