Dumb question about ESPN+

I won't be able to attend the game tonight due to a freaking annoying respiratory infection and was wondering if I sign up for ESPN+, will I be able to see the game or will they black me out for being too local?

You can see it locally.

I also enjoy having it on while at the game. There is about a 2 minute lag and a great way to watch any replay you want.

So I just signed up and decided to check out some of the SIUE/EIU match up. Eastern has a winning record and can't have more than 50 people in the arena. In all fairness, it was halftime. Maybe everyone was in the john.

I’m sure they were. I bet they fit in one bathroom

BTW, that was my first and last ESPN+ Racer game. I canceled after the game last night. I live in the sticks and have zero internet service available and rely on my Verizon service for any internet whatsoever. First off, there was no audio for a good chunk of the first half. Second, the picture would go from 720p to 144p and back and forth. I wish I lived in civilization again. Back to listening on the radio when I can't attend games.

Have you looked at AT&T's fixed wireless offering

https://www.att.com/internet/fixed-wireless.html

I don't use and don't really know of anyone that does use it. And it's not available to everyone. But might be an option for you if it is available. It may also be cost prohibitive.

215GB probably isn't enough to stream TV all the time. But should be good for watching Murray State games and maybe a couple of Netflix movies a month.

So sad to see this after the free live screening in the past...I was about ready to try ESPN+ hoping the bugs had been fixed..That is clearly not going to happen..

Somebody should call Beth!

I’ve had nothing but good luck with it and would pay 4X as much for all the coverage I get as far as other teams’ games. Much improved over what we’ve had in the past.

I haven't had any issues with it either, other than the first couple of games.

But you do have to have a quality Internet connection. And all of the big telecom companies have forgotten about this area. If you don't have access to cable or fiber optics... you're never going to get it.

Sadly, that appears to be the issue that @racerlover faced. The Internet connection they have just wasn't able to handle the game stream.

I stream off my cellular connection but I have unlimited data. My stream is usually perfect. In fact I was streaming Peay/EKU in the Bank before our game Thursday night.

I have nothing but good service with it. Like Smidge said I like the fact I can watch a lot more content.

Don't get ATT, their own people make jokes about how slow it is. It reloads as much as it runs. It is the slowest of all available in the area. It is okay for general, but not streaming of any kind.

ATT is installing fiber in many parts of the area up to 1 gig download speeds. That is 10x faster than many cable companies. Lot of areas of Graves county are already on. Not sure about Calloway.

Yes ESPN+ is 10 times better now than OVC digital. HD quality and the ability to pause and I can use the app on my appletv instead of trying to airplay OVC digital from my phone

I'm technically still on my free trial, so I'll get to watch Thursday. I ordered a hotspot device. Hopefully that will make a little difference.
