Next season is shaping up to be a roller coaster. We will be uneven in the non conference, probably wins some we shouldn't and lose some we shouldn't, but come the second semester...

Next year we will have a better team than this year.
I know we have a pt guard that can get us out of the gate but you have to have the help to cross the finish line.

Doesn’t Duquan have the talent to be a good contributor next year?

I certainly hope you're correct but I'm not ready to make such bold predictions myself.

The recruits we have signed certainly look promising but those guys will be trying to fill the shoes of an all conference guard and an all world point guard.

We will likely never have another Top 3 draft pick (projected). I'm not ready to say a team without him next year will have 20 wins on Feb 12 next year.

I also heard that we'd never have a player drafted higher than Cam was drafted. Never say never.

Not gonna happen. There's a big difference in being drafted 14 and being drafted 3.

I bet a lot of people would have said “not gonna happen” if you had said a LOT of what has happened in last decade as far as wins, rankings, draft picks, lottery picks, PROJECTED lottery picks, etc. was possible yet here we are. Never say never.

I’m still dreaming of a magical sweet 16 and final four run.

Something interesting I thought about today. And I don't want to be accused of starting rumors but how does Brion Whitley fit in to the plan for next year? We have Daquan who is super talented, Chico is obviously talented, Noah from what I've seen and heard is a beast... Tevin has a good grasp on his spot.

I don't want to see another transfer but based on his declining minutes this season I just don't see how he gets much floor time again next year.

His 41.03% 3-point shooting doesn't hurt his chances for PT, IMO.

I agree 100 percent. But, if healthy, our front court should be better offensively and defensively next season. I think we could wind up having a better team next year even though we might have 2 or 3 more losses.

Davis getting minutes also?

Brion Whitley has become a key reserve and should be one of the guys pushing for more minutes next season.

Whitley, and now Gilmore, have stepped up their game from last year and are serious contributors. Whitley is hard nosed and can flat out shoot the ball. You aren't going to be able to stick him on the end of the bench, especially after another year has passed.
