We may have had a chance at him 5 years ago but he would have to accept at least a 6 figure pay cut now.

Unless we’re gonna pony up basketball coach type cash we ain’t getting nobody big. Ward wasn’t exactky breaking the budget, he worked cheap I hear. I’m good with Matt Kelly personally.

I think we have to pony up and pay a person that will take this basketball program to the next level.

Not gonna lose any sleep over his leaving. I can see clearly now. Feel like the Pres will make this an extended search. This is a big opportunity for the Racer sports nation.

Agree!! Big opportunity for new leadership. We can do better than Ward and some of his minions...…...plus there must be more to this story.

The Abilene Christian Athletics site lists Drew Long as interim AD right now. Looks like ACU stepped up to Div 1 basketball about 4 years ago. Their basketball team went 8-10 in the Southland Conference &16-16 overall. The football team was 2-7, 2-9 last year. Looks like lots of work to do.

If there’s anything at all about Murray State I’ve learned over the years, it’s that EVERYTHING is secret even though it never really is lmao and nothing is revealed until the last absolute second even though everyone has heard already.
And now it must be a secret why he resigned, you reckon we will ever know why?

One possible candidate with MSU ties. John Mark Hall. Any of you at MSU in the late 80’s may have know him or if you had accounting classes back then you may have had his mom Jane Hall. I think she taught in the accounting dept in the 80’s and 90’s. I believe his dad was a VP at Murray State during the Curris years but he passed away unexpectedly at a young age. I’m pretty sure he was in the running 13 years ago when AW was chosen

Yep, he would be an absolute homerun hire but one who has likely passed us by. Our only chance would be like a blueblood basketball assistant wanting his own gig, ‘cause his salary at pUKe likely big time

In 2014 his salary was 165,000 plus about 41,000 in bonus money. Google is my friend. Anybody know what AW salary was?

Go get Ryan Ivie and bring him home.
It’s Ivey and he literally just got the Stephen F. Austin AD job last week

I would like to see Dave Winder be considered for this position. He is a hard worker and well liked by his peers.
