Ja, 30 points, 9 asst. Tied the game for the Grizz, then stuffed it in Kyrie's face to force overtime. Great game for him!!!

Just curious why Ja is barely playing over half a game, minutes wise. Average is 28 minutes. For comparison, RJ Barrett is at 36.5 mins per game. Tyler Herro is at 32 mins. I understand load management, being a rookie, etc, but some Grizz fans on their boards are tired of the rotation and want more Ja. Honestly, what do they have to lose by playing him 37 mins per game?

I got fox sports southeast today on direct tv. Ja lit em up in the second half, player of the game. I was suprized the coach took him out so much. Crowder was cold, Suns are great shooters.

According to a headline I read, Ja holds the franchise points record for the first five games for a Grizzlies rookie. Imagine had he been playing 35 mins!!! Utilize the man!!! I'm not worried if the Grizzlies win or not. I'm for Ja. I'm all for him using these first few years to learn, grow, get used to the grind of 82 games and light up the stats. Then, head to a better franchise in a bigger market. Not sure Memphis is an organization that will ever spend what they need to become a major contender each year.

If I had to guess is usage is because of the surgery he had before the season more than anything.

From what I see, the Grizzlies are doing right by Ja. They are looking for a 15 year career. Remember he is 20, is used to playing 30 games per season, and needs to bulk up some more in taking his game to grown men. He plays fearless, but he has to be bruised after falling to the floor as much as he does each night. He is such a competitor that he will play injured, even if he has injuries that other players would take straight to the training room. The talent for Ja is his speed, and athleticism. In order to maintain that he needs time to learn and adapt his body to the pro game. The Grizzlies appear to be thrilled with him, and his spending a little more time on the bench in order to take the time to learn, and be healthy will be time well spent. :thumbup:
