From Associated Press men's bball:

"BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Erik McCree scored 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, leading second-seeded Louisiana Tech to a 69-57 victory over No. 7 seed UAB on Thursday night in a Conference USA Tournament quarterfinal."

Steve Prohm's Cyclones are Big 12 Tourney champs beating Bob Huggins and WVa. Best coach we ever had for sure. What a talent. Two NBA players, top 10 rankings, top 25 rankings, sellouts, man, what a talent!

Btw, I believe Huggins and his Akron Zips beat Ron Greene at Racer Arena in OVC Tourney back in the day.

Just saw Caanan and Payne on the floor wearing the Bulls uniform playing the Celtics

Man, we got so lucky to have him here for even a short few years. What a presence he is on the sidelines or during an interview. This man is the goods and that's a fact.

I'm still no fan of his BUT what a great point he makes here. Kinda like judging the success or failure of a season on winning the OVC Tournament, which is monumentally stupid.

Anyone know why Payne isn't playing? And, why did OKC trade him in the first place? He got good minutes with OKC, and, I thought they really liked him.

The Bulls are trying to make the playoffs, and he is still developing his NBA game, while they have others with more experience. At least that is my take on it.

The Bulls are a mess. They have 5 PG's on the roster (MCW, Rondo, Jerian Grant, Cam, and Isaiah) and 2 ball dominant wing players who function as a PG a good part of the time anyway (Wade and Butler).

It's probably best that Cam is bouncing back and forth from the D-league so he is at least getting to play and run the offense some. Even when he has played with the Bulls he hasn't been used correctly. They have mainly just stuck him in the corner/wing while Butler was being the primary ball handler. Cam's best at creating and running the offense. If they just want to stick an undersized guy on the wing for 3's they'd be better off putting Isaiah out there.

I'm hopeful the Bulls roster will see a lot of turnover this summer which will hopefully open up a spot for 1 or both of our Racers to get more time next year. It would be great if their new roster even had some sort of cohesiveness.

NBA rumors (fwiw) have the bulls moving on from Butler and with Rondo and Wades age, you should see some space open on the roster.

Or is Butler moving on from them...

It's probably a little bit of both.

Bringing in Rondo and Wade was a mistake from the start. 2 ball dominant guys who can't shoot 3's.

We screwed the pooch on this move. We could have really used him this past season.
