And then there's this from the OVC website about the game.....
In the last 1:25, Murray State's Jonathan Stark hit four 3-pointer to help the Racers to a bring the JSU lead to three with seven seconds to go.
emphasis mine.

Harper: W 476 / L 142 lifetime. Not too shabby
I know most on here dont like him for sure, but guy has won everywhere he coached. I was not personally surprised by what happen last night. It was just a bad night. They have plenty of time to bounce and coaching staff will work the issues they had. Team will be just fine.

Thankfully, Alan Ward would never hire someone of such low character, no matter how good he is at coaching.

I'd like to hear what Harper has done to make him such a " low character" person in your eyes.

Probably about like he fared at Worsten....one contract and shown the street. I'll never understand people who can't accept facts like results and I don't mean a bunch of wins at the sub-D1 level with D1 thugs, malcontents and academic hard cases. It's not hard to win lower divisions when you will take ANYBODY. Reminds me of people who argue Belmont is better than Lipscomb even after losing home and away.

And people that will argue that even though we are ranked 21 places ahead of Iowa State makes us the better team. Pomeroy has lost all my respect. We are still ranked 45 places ahead of Jacksonville State today.

I dont worried about that really, I mean we are in the OVC only thing that matters is who wins the tournament.

Well i was more meaning about what he has been able to do with the talent he has had in Jacksonville since he got there which is quite remarkable considering he didnt recruit any of them. If he had our level of talent to coach i think we'd be even better than we are. We're already a good team, just look at our fight and ability to comeback from last night but our coaching is still holding us back.

You mean the same coaching that had us 4 points from beating a now top 25 Auburn team? Or the coaching that has us the top offensive team in the OVC and before last night were beating conference teams by an average 20.5 ppg? I think we're fine without him.

. Ray recruited Marlon Hunter at wku. He went to juco after leaving wku and now with jax. He had 21 points

I saw somewhere Aurburn had 2 starters out for our game and we still got out coached.

Ok. It may be true Harper is a better in game coach. He is still not as good a recruiter as Matt IMO. That being said Harper gas been a head coach much much longer that McMahon. McMahon is still learning still improving and I think he is showing that he is getting better in game. He has been a much better coach this season. And I my opinion has learned a lot his first 2 seasons.
